Design Guidelines
When you receive your templates they will all be personalised with your pupil's name. Each template has a unique code and this code now relates to a child and soon their artwork.
Make sure you hand the right template to the right pupil!
Now let the children get creative!!
We want every card you produce to look fantastic, which is why we have provided some handy design tips:
- Use felt tips or pens or crayons
- If you are using coloured pencils ensure your press down hard
- Try and fill the entire area of the template
- Don’t use glitter
- Don’t use chalk
Create a theme around the design. It could be their favourite thing about Christmas, an interpretation of the Easter Bunny or beautiful temples to celebrate Eid Mubarak. This gives them a focus and the blank design template will look less scary!
Young children's designs we have received many fantastic cards that show hand prints and feet prints as Christmas trees, Teachers/organisers have outlined snowmen or stockings and the children colour them in. We've also seen designs of angels with foot prints for wings! For small children ,ideas like this create a beautiful keepsake and gifts for friends and family.
As you can imagine, the organisation of thousands of cards every year demands a slick and highly efficient operation. To ensure we do not let any child down we cannot accept designs that are not supplied on our templates.
We were very impressed with the quality of the Christmas cards produced by School Card Shop, and parents were keen to buy, making it a very effective fundraising tool. I would definitely recommend School Card Shop to other schools or groups.
